Board outside of detachment

Cadets,

Attached you will find LLAB 6 Ops orders and such. Also, there is a wing suspense to paint the detachment boards outside of the detachment. Quoted straight from the wing commander: "I want to see team spirit, originality, creativity, and warrior spirit." Wing staff will judge the boards and the winner with the best board will have the opportunity to plan and execute a PT session for the entire wing!!! The suspense for these boards is 6 March 2009. we're getting the board done next weekend... yes? I was thinking, since we can't do the entire thing at once, that maybe some of us could get together during the week to paint the black background, and then we could finish it over the weekend with the smiley face and painting the words.

I won't be here next weekend cause that's when my break starts, but I'd be glad to paint the board black before that weekend. Friel, let me know what works for you and what ideas you have! Let's keep brainstorming so we can own alpha & bravo!

I've got the paint....anybody free Tuesday or Wednesday?

I'm free Wednesday after 3, however, I was thinking about asking for an extension today just in case the weather doesn't get warmer bc if we paint it when its this cold, the paint will just freeze and it isn't going to set right... and I don't want our board, which is otherwise going to be awesome, look crappy bc of a bad paint job.

I'm good for Wednesday after 5:30.....i totally understand the cold weather messing up our paint and stuff, but do you think there's anyway we could get it done anyway? I kinda feel like we've been asking for a lot of extensions, and not that that's a bad thing or anything, but I just don't want anybody to think we're not able to meet suspenses without extensions. I dunno, what do you think?

I checked the weather, and it should be above freezing for Wed and Thurs, giving the paint time to dry if we can paint it quickly Wed evening. However, since we have been asking for a lot of extenions, I have an idea.

Just in case the weather is cold, one of us can call C/Maj Randazzo and explain the situation to him. I was thinking that in its place, in order to make up for the extension, we could conduct a warrior ethos mission after our midterm on Thursday- or maybe we could even do it anyways. We're only taking the midterm, and it shouldn't take anyone more than an 45 minutes. We will have an hour of free time in between the test and physical training. Maybe we could do a mini warrior ethos mission, earn some warrior points, and make up for the extension (if we need to ask for one).

I emailed C/Maj Randazzo, and I'll let you know as soon as he gets back to me. Until then, we're meeting at about 5:30 tomorrow, right?
